The kind folks over at Comic Book Resources have recently reported on an exciting tidbit of news for fans of the superpowered undead: there will indeed be a Marvel Zombies 3 in the future. That being said, however, neither Robert Kirkman nor Sean Phillips will be returning to work on the upcoming mini-series. The gore-meisters are handing the reins over to Fred Van Lente, current writer of The Incredible Herc, and Kev Walker, artist on the Annihilation: Nova mini-series. Details are still somewhat vague, but it has been disclosed that a group known as A.R.M.O.R. and some dimension-hopping antics are involved.

The folks over at Avatar Press aren’t taking this news lying down. According to sources at Newsarama, Max Brooks (the writer of the popular Zombie Survival Guide) is releasing an original graphic novel in the fall entitled Zombie Survival Guide - Recorded Attacks.
