Image Founders McFarlane and Portacio to return to Spawn

In the upcoming 185th issue of Image’s flagship title Spawn, two of Image’s founders will be taking the reins: Todd McFarlane and Whilce Portacio. Though Portacio will be handling the majority of art duties, McFarlane claims that he will also have a hand in it, mainly through art direction and inking. McFarlane says that issue 185 will feature what is described as a “big cataclysmic event …that will offer [new readers]Â an easy jumping-on point.”
