Back in June, a bombshell was dropped in New Avengers. Elektra was killed, and her body took on the form of a Skrull. What does that mean? It means the Skrulls have been plotting a full on pod-people cold war style invasion of the Marvel Universe where in Skrulls are impersonating superheroes.

This could be HUGE. Any character who’s had a relaunch (like Luke Cage)… skrully! Anybody had a recent resurrection (like Colossus)? Skrully! Anyone acting like a totally different character for some time now? (Iron Man) Skrully!

Not that any of those characters are confirmed Skrulls mind you. It’s just one bit of the guessing going on from Marvel fans. For months, various Marvel books have been dropping hints, and building up to the invasion. this week, the dedicated Secret Invasion miniseries launches in full swing.
