Kate Is Gone: DC’s “Manhunter” to be Cancelled with Issue 38

According to Newsarama, DC Comics is cancelling Manhunter for the second (and supposedly final) time.

Manhunter, written by Marc Andreyko and illustrated by Michael Gaydos, revolves around Kate Spencer, tough-talking attorney and single mom, who uses old superhero equipment stolen from an evidence room to take drown criminals that have avoided the long arm of the law. Originally cancelled at its 30th issue, a wide-spanning letter campaign ultimately saved the title, resurrecting it at issue 31 in June 2008; however, after a short burst in popularity, sales again began to wind down on the ill-fated title, resulting in DC cancelling it after its 38th issue.
