Australian gamers revolt against high GTA4 prices
As reported on Destructoid, The Sydney Morning Herald is reporting that many Australian gamers are cancelling their Grand Theft Auto IV pre-orders in protest of the insanely high price of the game added to the fact that Rockstar has heavily edited the game to fit the country’s MA15+ age rating.
Many Australian gamers have cancelled their [GTA IV] orders.
Many gamers said they cancelled their orders with Australian shops and will import a cheaper, uncut version, flouting the law.
Already angered by the price of the blockbuster in Australia - $120 compared to $US60 ($64) in North America - gamers have reacted with outrage to news… that developer Rockstar has edited the game for Australia in order to obtain an MA15+ rating.
Australian gamers seem to always get the shaft in terms of release dates, prices, and banned/edited versions of popular games. Hopefully this will have quite an impact and the Australian government will be able to resolve its ridiculous rating system.

That’s crazy expensive. Wonder how rockstar is justifying the price tag.
How are Rockstar going to justify that one? That’s crazy money..
