Golden Globe Nominations Announced
Nominations for the 66th annual Golden Globes were announced this morning in Hollywood. There are some big surprises within, some which may begin an absolute internet riot. You can check out the full list in the press release, but some of the highlights are below.

Danny Boyle – Slumdog Millionaire
Stephen Daldry – The Reader
David Fichner – The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Sam Mendes - Revolutionary Road
Best Supporting Actor
Tom Cruise – Tropic Thunder
Robert Downey Jr. – Tropic Thunder
Ralph Fiennes – The Duchess
Philip Seymour Hoffman – Doubt
Heath Ledger – The Dark Knight
No, you aren’t missing anything. Dark Knight didn’t see a nomination in either Best Director or Best Picture. And yes, of all people, Tom Cruise has a nomination for his extended cameo in Tropic Thunder. The nomination press conference literally saw the audience laughing at this announcement There are some other surprises to be had as well, such as James Franco receiving a Best Actor nomination for Pineapple Express.
