Valkyrie Delayed Again
You’d think that if Tom Cruise and Bryan Singer paired up to make a movie about killing Hitler you wouldn’t get much in the way of road blocks. Not so!
First, Germany refused to let them film in their country and denounced Scientology as a cult.
Then, UA moved the release from June to October, citing that it wasn’t really a summer blockbuster.
Now the film has been pushed back a second time until February of 2009.
While the studio claims everything is fine, many are speculating that there are problems with the production. Either way, it has effected the UA game plan to put out 3-4 high budget films a year. Since Cruise and Wagner took over the studio, only one “Lions for Lambs” has come out, and it didn’t do so hot at the box office.
