NPD: 72% of the United States are gamers

GameSpot reports that the NPD Group has found through a survey that 72% of the United States population plays video games in some form, up from 64% the year before.

Former Xbox Exec predicts death of the console

Former Xbox of Europe Vice President Sandy Duncan spent fifteen years with Microsoft and played a key role in setting up Microsoft’s console presence in the region.  Contrary to his achievements (no pun intended) he believes that the home console as we know it is on its way out in as soon as five years.
