George Lucas sort of stole the show during the Cartoon Network’s upfront this week, but there was a smaller announcement made concerning Batman.

Another animated series has been put into works, called The Brave and the Bold, which weekly teams up Batman and one other hero from the DCU. If the preview image is any indication, this series will have no continuity ties to The Batman (which is in its final season), nor the Timmverse The Animated Series / Justice League Batman, nor the planned series of animated tie-ins to The Dark Knight.

No word on voice talent. TV Guide has a small bit of info.
