The Ghost Who Walks onto the Sci-Fi Channel?
According to Newsarama.com, the father-and-son team of Daniel and Charles Knauf have co-written a screenplay for a four hour Phantom movie.

For those of you not in the know, the Phantom was a creation of Lee Falk, creator of another famous comic strip character, Mandrake the Magician. Falk’s “Ghost Who Walks” is considered a pioneering creation to this day, having been the first superhero to sport both a skin-tight costume and a face mask sans pupils. To date, the Phantom has starred in a 15-part serial, multiple cartoons (Phantom 2040, anyone?), three unauthorized Turkish films, and a 1996 live-action movie starring Billy Zane and Kristy Swanson.
Charles Knauf addresses the more contemporary concerns a character like the Phantom might face, saying “He’s still got a purple costume, but we upgraded it. We made it tougher.”
The project is still waiting for the green light, and will possibly be optioned for a full series by the Sci-Fi Channel. Find out more here.
