Vertigo (again)---(A)----Another great film by Hitch. Very "dreamlike" and "sub-realistic".
Lolita (the Kubrick version)---(A)---I loved the way that it took a controversial subject (especially for '61) and showed/addressed it plotwise with suggestions and little "hints" as opposed to showing it with actual action.

I always loved his name in the scheme of things - Humbert Humbert.
The least movie I saw is my favourite war movie of all-time, pretty interesting, because I generally do not like war movies: from 1930, All Quiet On The Western Front. I give it an A easy.

I finally saw Citizen Kane last night, and I can see why people call it one of the greatest movies of all time. When I finished it, I immediately watched it again. Solid A.
We just wacthed Citizen Kane in school a couple of weeks ago, it wasn't my first time but it was intresting hearing what my generation has to say about the film. "I respect the film but its not something I would own and re-wacth"-that seemed to be the general consenus and thats what I said as well
When I said this in class the local film snob just starting yelling at me and isulting me. He is one of those, "movies are crap today" kinda guys. I can never have a conversation with him because all he does is attack, never listens, never considers someone else's opinion.

Sahara = B- It's not trying to be some ridiculous Hollywood "protagonist discovers she's engaged to her long lost evil twin brother". It's just a fun to watch action-adventure film - sure it has some hokey moments but they're enjoyable.
DVD: Star Wars: TPM = A+ Star Wars: AOTC = A+
Need I say more?

Sideways - A+ A realistic comedy. Go figure. Star Wars IV- B Star Wars V - A+ Awesome sequel Almost Famous - A -Good movie about romance and music Singles - C - Total chick flick with a good soundtrack

It's an age-old story, so nothing original about it - in fact, for repeated viewings, it's gotta be the acting and how it fits into the flow of the film that keeps you watching. And the female lead didn't do as a good a job as it would take for this to be an all-time classic - still a great movie though, and for reasons aforementioned, it gets a B+ ...
... as for the female lead, see how City Lights ended and note the difference ...

Spanglish-(A) Great dialog, great storytelling, interesing characters and not your run of the mill love story. It's not exactly what I expected, it's much better. I seem to like Adam Sandler better when he's not in an Adam Sandler movie.
Sideways - (B-) Slightly better than average. Started out great, slowed down, picked up, slowed down. The acting by What's-His-Name-Harvey-Pekar was fabulous as always. I just ended up feelng sorry for the guy the whole movie.
