A Moderators Forum has been created so that moderators (formerly called Community Leaders) and administrators can be in constant contact.
There will be monthly (perhaps biweekly) updates on the Feedback forum regarding what is being discussed in the Moderators Forum. This is to ensure that people don't go crazy with suspicions.
This is just an FYI, and I'm sure most people won't care. The forum will only serve to help the mods and admins in making the boards better for everyone.

Actually, DVT, that was one of many misperceptions with the previous Moderator and Jedi Council boards.
It's probably better not to apply any paranoid notions to its function. Or have those who do use the board to assuage any member's concerns.

Wee, and they're moderators again.. I always thought Community Leader sounded too.. cheerful and pleasant.

JA, why don't you make all of the threads locked to regular members? This way everyone could read what was going on, but it wouldn't hinder the mods' communication, thus resulting in eternal happiness.
Actually, I don't even care and would probably never read the stuff, but some do.

The Moderators forum should definitely not be open for everyone to see. What goes on in there should be an intelligent discussion between the Moderators and the Admins about the current status and future of Nightly. Some of that discussion will certainly put people on different sides of an issue... However, that is an internal thing to the running of Nightly. If you throw open the doors for all to see, what they will see is people agreeing with their ideas and people not agreeing... They will gravitate to those that do agree and try to put wedges between all of Nightly. I'm all for heated debate and serious consideration given to new ideas (and even old ideas), but when its all said and done the decision and implementation should come from Nightly.net... And by that I mean that the secrecy (of the individual sides and ideas) helps solidify the strength of Nightly while the reports (as JA suggests) will show that things were at least considered.
The other option is for them to go back to PMs and email and have none of it open to the public... To not know what is under consideration... To be kept in the dark. So that's the option. If you want to know what's going on (without having to know who says and backs exactly what) then let them do their job in that forum in peace and simply read the report when it comes out.
