Posters need to argue the points and not the people.
I can't wholly agree with Axis' posts, yet I can't dismiss them entirely. There is some merit there, IMO.

Why is this part of the thread singled out in a public forum? It splinters and digresses from that thread.

That all message board arguments devolve into personal attacks. No one ever sticks to the subject.
And, mosttimes, it's a pathetically laughable endeavor.
As for his flame, he made a broad personal generalization taken to an extreme. That's obvious. However, your following post only seemed to mockingly reinforce that.

If thyham is getting THIS upset over a post, then it probably means there is some truth to the post. It's like if you call a violent homophobe a repressed homosexual. It'll set them off, because they secretly realize it is true.

You're getting upset at a conclusion (taken to a ridiculous extreme) that is apparently untrue. That should have been addressed and been done with it.

I already addressed that in the other thread..but just because I can, I'll do it in here..
Once again I said that they have every right to be suspiscious after something terrible happens (aka Columbine/WTC.) You don't see that point, and you go into personal attacks on me to show that you're not right. Do it some more.
And THT...What I said I meant because you were making fun of a situation I find quite serious. If you want to do that, do it elsewhere.

Is it okay for Axis to be using something I said, a single line from a whole thread of insulting, without my permission, and even after I asked nicely for him to remove it?

Afterthought: Not to mention that if anyone has a right to get mad at me for my joking posts in here it's Axis not you, Thyham. As it's Axis and the stigma that has attached itself to him that I was taking the micky out of. Now I understand you take this very seriously, that's fairly obvious afterall, but why should I start a thread to make a joke that loses it's whole humor outside of the thread in which it was born from? The very reason I made the joke was to point out the absurdity of what is going on revolving this sudden down pour of aggression in Axis' direction. Now don't get me wrong with that, I'm not justifying any flames Axis has said towards you Thyham... I was just trying to bring the atmosphere back to a breathable level. Usually you're one to take a step back and laugh, but in this situation something more is afoot. I'll make no apologies for cracking a joke to lighten things up, but I'm sorry it had the reverse effect.
