The main page will display that I'm logged in. However, with a couple forums and the threads in them, as I enter, that page will display that I need to login.
Even after logging in to post in that forum or thread, I get that same problem going to any forum or thread following that login.
I haven't changed any preferences or settings.

Unless other people are getting this error, then it's probably something at your end. Login problems are usually cookie-related. Go into your profile, delete your cookies and try logging in again. If that doesn't work. I'm not sure what else to do.

Well, I had done that (manually -- normally, the browser's set to clear all that after exiting) just after posting that. I haven't seen it happen again.

Uhm, Mandard - you keep telling ppl the same impossible advise reagrding cookies and inability to log into NN: If you cannot log into NN, how in the world can you get to your profile and your cookies for NN?
Unless you go to your whole cookies cache and delete the NN specific one?

Well, the most common login problems are not that it won't let you log in at all, but that it won't let you stay logged in or that it has trouble when you try to switch names.
But if that did ever happen and you couldn't even get to your profile, yes, manually deleting any nightly cookies would be my suggestion.
(BTW, I should note that no login problems reported here could ever be of that nature. If you're able to post here, you have to be logged in.)

Actually, not only should you wipe your Cookies folder, you should:
Go to Tools > Internet Options and click on the Security tab. Go to "Customize" and scroll down to find Cookies. Make sure each option, esp. the latter, is "Enabled". I think you've disabled the save over sessions thing. That might be your problem.
