i just don't think a name should be banned just for being a name. if the member was trying to cause trouble then by all means dismiss them, but to ban purely on the basis that "this is wrong, because Hitler was a bad man " is weak. i'm sure whom ever it was may have been up to starting trouble and a banning may have not been far down the road, but no violation was commited other than using a name people don't like.

There are a couple of families in Austria and Switzerland who still have that family name. One of them has a rather nice wineyard. They are not related in any way to the corporal, there were a few unrelated families with the same surname.

I think if you allow someone to call himself hitler and post swastikas on this board, then it is as good as allowing someone to run around here using a racial slur as a user name.
It seems kind of odd that we are allowed to post swastikas here, but not use the F word.
It should be noted that the terroists that have pledged to make our lives miserable as long as they have life left in them, share Hitler's genocideal views.
but... its your board. If you want to allow racism while banning sex and nudity.. then thats your affair.
I guess the p-nis is a bigger threat to society

I don’t even know why anyone’s bothering. He was already banned two weeks ago. And I don't plan on unbanning the name. I’m not interested in somebody running around here under the name Hitler. This isn't really a big deal. If he had no intention of starting trouble, then it should be no problem to use a less controversial name. If it was only meant as a joke, it wasn’t very funny.
