I know it's been asked before but it really never got any serious consideration.
The spelling errors that some members make are ri-goddamn-diculous. I can't stand reading threads that have the spelling and grammar of a monkey farting on a keyboard. Everybody makes a typo every now and again, but the size and frequency of some members' typos make me want to scream.

True, but the only concern I personally have is that it will cause more frustration than before. A lot of the 'words' that people use here are not known in any dictionary, so the spellcheck would have to be really simplified so that it only altered certain small mistakes like "teh" and "adn". Would one be able to disable it for their posts at will or would it be a permanent thing?

True. But my biggest concern is that the people who need it most, won't bother with it.

Thanks for clearing that up. Oh wait a minute, that didn't clear up anything. That tells us it's under consideration. We think. Which means it probably isn't. After all, how can you achieve something if you don't even know if it's under consideration or not?
I don't work at Infopop, you know. I don't have any control over what's put into the UBB and when it's put in. I told you exactly what I know. Take your smart comments somewhere else.

(The reason spellcheck was not included in UBB6 though it was in UBB5 was that the supplier discontinued their free service)

I'm with Silky on this one. The people who need it won't use it. If they can't be bothered to proofread their own posts and learn to use a dictionary, then they won't bother to click on a Spell Check button to correct their msitae...missta...mitstack.... mistakes.
