...of getting a new, better looking star pattern for Nightly's background? I ask because if you check out the Wrestling forum, a custom background was implemented, although it's just another star pattern. But IMO it's much better looking than Nightly's default. Think we might be able to try it, and see what people think? I don't think it's a huge change so don't see why people would really be against it, just a cooler space background. Please comment. [Smile]

I like the image they used ok, but as a web designer I can tell you it wasn't really meant to be used as a background on a web page and it shows. The background doesn't appear seamless. The old starfield bg works better because its a simpler image. If a new one is used it should be an image that was meant to be used as web page background image so that it looks seamless IMO.

In your opinion ES, would something like this, just for example, be seamless?

My problem with it is that is just a repeating pattern. It looks like somebody through up purple blobs on a star field. A good backgroud is hard to find and make. That's why I'm not really fond of them usually. I like a simple clean look when it comes to web pages and background images rarely work for me. Honestly...I'm not even fond of the old star background on Nightly. [Eek!] [Embarrassed] [Wink] So maybe I'm just to hard to please.

Lol, I see what you mean with the repeating pattern. Honestly, the real problem I have with the current background is how washed out it is. It's just not a very clean image. I must be hard to please as well. [Smile]

AH! Imagine how many people would have epileptic seizures...let's try it! [Wink]

To the untrained eye, this looks exactly like ours, but I think it's less washed out. [Smile]

To me, clowns aren't funny. In fact, they're kind of scary. I've wondered where this started and I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus, and a clown killed my dad.

Less stars but probably a little clearer.

I 'like' the one we have. Sure, you can see the 'seams', but it looks more star-like, with space dust. [Big Grin]

Destiny's, yours looks like a black field somebody sprinkled white dots on.

I gotta disagree, lol, stars don't look like that, it's washout simply because it's a bad gif. [Smile] Well, not to say that a bunch of dots really look like stars either...but I like the cleaner look. ::sigh:: But I suppose no one would care what I think. [Wink]
