Hey everyone, I don't know if it has been mentioned before, (Darth Kid = Ignorant Newbie) but what about a forum for collectors. I see stuff about SW action figures, and light sabers all the time in the Prequels Forum. If we had a Collecter's Forum we could let that stuff take up space in it's own forum, everyone could post pics of their action figures and light sabers. Plus, I am sure there is a large group of people at Nightly that have a collection of some kind that they would like to show off in a forum, but there isn't a forum for every kind of collection right now. For example: baseball cards, cd collections, hot wheel cars, action figures, comic books, coins, currency, stamps, and anything else people like to collect. Just like the Movie Forum, this forum would cover many topics, not just one. The Movie Forum covers all movies, so we don't have to make a new forum for every awesome movie that comes out. That is what the Collector's Forum would do, it wouldn't be for one kind of collection, but collections in general. This would save a lot of space if one group wants a coin collector's forum and and then later another wants a comic book forum. Which will likely happen if one kind of collection is given a forum. So in conclusion, I think a Collector's Forum would be a fun one to have, would save space, be fun for current members, bring a new group of people to Nightly, and it would never get old, because as long as there is stuff we will collect it.
If you think this is a good idea for a forum give me an i agree or an amen or something of that nature.

I am all for a collector's forum. A huge part of the members of Nightly are Star Wars collectors, including myself, and most collect other items as well. A collector's forum would be a good asset to Nightly.

Sorry, the porn forum (thanks to the heavy campaining of Ryn) is way ahead of the Matrix and/or Collecting forums.

Oh really? So where is it?
If you want to show your collection off then post it in the photo album and talk about your collectibles on the star wars boards. Board space could be used for more useful things

I don't collect just Star Wars. I collect MANY other things besides Star Wars. I collect tons of other movie and tv show figures as well as older Disney stuff ( a new hobby as of late). I can't speak for everyone though...but there's many things one can collect.
While we're on the subject of a collector's forum... does anyone happen to know where a good one is, that isn't just Star Wars?

i like the idea of a collector's forum, there has been numerous times that i wanted to post something concerning what i collect, but never wind up post because i'm not sure where the most appropriate place to post would be. however, i wonder if a forum like that would be worth it. would it get the attenion and necessary amount of posts to be worth taking up space here. it's a good idea in theory, but would it be just as good in practice...that's the real question.

Watch out I am about to contridict my self: No a Collector's Forum would be a waste of space, I think we need a Misc. Forum , that way, we can post anything we want, and we can pull forums from that one, if we end up with a HUGE collectors thread in the Misc. Forum we could make a Collectors Forum, same with the Porn Forum , and the other ones mentioned. Plus any other popular topics that we havn't thought about yet!
