Hello,
I have noticed that there are some vampire fans here, as well as fans of Anne Rice. If you would make a VC/Anne Rice board I will gladly moderate. I want to talk about my passion for her writing, the VC, the movie adaptions ect. but I have no where to do it. My name is even based on a character of hers from the book queen of the damned. Please carefully consider my request for a new board.

It is a book,a person (the author) comics, music, movies all in one. Not to mention the general theme of vampires

so than umm...just pick one of those (movies, books, etc.) and put it in there! or go to the Buffy forum they have vampires!

you implied you would be a moderator therefore asking to be one therefore you want to be one...did you read the FAQ? if you ask to be one your chances of being one go down

There might be a few people that like Vampires and also a few people that like Anne Rice....BUT Anne Rice can be talked about in the Books and comics board and Vampires can be talked about where ever you want to talk about them....
Basically there is no big surge for it and I doubt if there was a board it would get much traffic if any.

Guys, quit picking on every new member who comes in here to make a suggestion. She doesn't know that we have this happen all the time and she's probably just excited because she thinks she has a good idea. Quit acting like you're in charge here (with exception to B Man, he is a moderator). She was only offering to moderate in order to help out.

What may be useful if you really want this forum is to get a feel for if there is enough interest for a board. I don't know how many members would qualify to put forth a good proposition, but it might be worth a try. Talk to some of these other members and see what suggestions they may have.
For now, you might want to check out the Books and Comics forum like they suggested. Start a thread and see how much interest it garners. Possibly check out RPG if you're also interested in that (and B Man is mod, so you could ask him about that).

Right now, I don’t think we’d be interested in adding an Anne Rice/Vampire board. But thanks for the suggestion. As you’ll see if you hang around, we get many suggestions but it’s relatively rare that we add new boards. I hope you can overlook the rudeness of some people who would rather pick on a new member instead of helping them.

First off, they usually don't make boards for that kind of stuff. It goes in the Books forum.
Second, if they made a forum like that, they would never pick a newbie to moderate...
