THT, if you don't like the lando system, there is the cantina and SWC. lando system isn't the only community forum on here. lando has always been known to be more explicit than the other forums.

The thread in question... it was kinda funny until the pictures came... then did the members. :lol:
The first picture in this thread was jipped from google, originally hosted by a porn site. The second picture is straight from the thread in question. The third picture is again from Google, hosted by a heavy metal/T&N site apparently. It's odd how Nightly can now be grouped in that same catagory. I guess we're officially done with the PG rating... looks like we've now gone for an R or extremely lucky to get away with a PG-13 big budget film (cause they greased the wheels with money) type of rating.

i don't understand the big deal. when has lando ever been pg, really?? i know for QUITE SOME TIME that lando has more of an edge to it. that is why lando and the cantina has always been so different.

Yeah, that picture is pusing the limits to a point (honestly not alot worse then you'd see on CSI or a number of other prime time dramas IMO). But since obviously going over my head and reporting it to the admins is the way to do it, I'll let it be handled that way since it's not straight porn.

On a more serious note, the picture is really no big deal. Hands covering breasts, while provacative, is really not any worse than PG. It's maybe a step worse than seeing someone in a bikini. Some of the discussion in the thread is getting a little out of hand though, but then again, this is Lando, and if you peruse the archives, you'll find that it's never really been much different.

Hey I agree. I wasn't aware I was attacking you. I said to stop whinning because complaining that someone didn't bring something to your particular attention and instead voiced it to someone he knows is around and then voiced same said concern in the appropriate forum is obviously entirely kosher.
If I wanted to attack you I'd say something like you don't enforce any kind of "Nightly" rating, you let people bypass the censor etc etc. But that's not my problem. That picture was the line. The talk that accompanied that picture was the line. Like I said the thread was funny until that occured. I was laughing while reading it. Then that picture showed up at just the moment my four year old came over and asked me a question. So he's like naked lady! :lol: Even if he hadn't though that's still the line. I shouldn't have to worry about what I might encounter on Nightly, that it might be something my son shouldn't see in passing. Heck if I was working now that picture could be grounds for firing with my old companies policy on porn on company computers.
The thing is Nightly does have a rating. It has for the reasons I just explained. I don't care that Lando is on the edge, I like that edge. Granted that edge bugged me a bit ages ago, cause it kinda was a double standard that Lando does stuff that other forums don't and in most cases can't, but I'm grown... you get over that. Lando's cool, I dig it. But there's a line and that picture and resulting convo crosses it.
So anyway you go the route that those pics are "now" allowed. Well the reasoning would be they are allowed because they don't show nipples etc etc, like I said, paramount to a bikini shot. Well, so what happens when the next person decides to post a pic of their crotch covered with a hand or something? That's, under this precedent, fine to do. I mean come on now... There is a freaking line.
Now as I laughed at Nuke for his comment, boobies are good, nudity is nice :lol: but not at Nightly. You want that go some where else.

it is my firm belief that the pictures that i posted of myself are no worse than the pictures linked in the "offical sexy picture thread" or anytime someone links back to maxim online
the only difference is that the picture quality isnt as good, i havent been airbrushed, and i have actually given my permission for it to be posted here, since i did it myself.
i could walk down the street like that if i really wanted to (ppl would think i was on drugs though) i didnt think it offensive.

One. I didn't, not that there's something wrong if I did... if someone wants to do that when not at Nightly so what?! This is not the issue. This is about Nightly. Anyway I surfed google images. All I had to do was copy the url posted there. In the case of the first picture it was hosted by a XXX url. Linking to XXX urls on Nightly is not allowed, so I clipped it and uploaded to my geocities account to make the point.
Nightly is not a porn site. Lando is not supposed to be a porn forum. It's on edge, that's cool, but that's where it's supposed to end.
And no, my son was and is in bed right now.
I was reading that thread the other day at about noon my time.
Oh and I do see "anything". This is a can of worms, beyond the fact that it crosses the line. If you had posted a picture of yourself in a bikini it would have been different. You posted yourself naked, covered by your hands, for the express purpose of the thread's context. This is not sex ed, this is not a breast cancer or breast exam context thing. This is breasts, nudity and vulgarity. There is a difference.
