I find the icon he is now using (The "F*ck Germany and France" one) HIGHLY deragatory and offensoive!
As is his second icon which he had put up in his poll. I don't care if he says and thinks that "old Europe" sucks. However, to put such an icon up is inflamatory, and should not be permitted!
If I would put up a "The US SUCKS"I con under my name, I would be banned immedaitely. Why isn't Kwan banned? At least tell him to chose a different icon!

Meh,I could care less about Germany but IMO,the French are good people.Look at all the wonderful stuff they've given us over the years(french fries)and hell they saved our asses in the revolutionary war...Go France!

First of all, you can't even see the avatar properly when it's up, let alone read it. It's just a smudge.
Second of all, who said that you'd be banned immediately if you put up your own avatar saying "US sucks"? Do you really think anyone would care? It's not abusive or criminal and hardly anyone finds something like this to be "offensive". Darth Emnity has a nice little avatar which could be construed as anti-american, but it's just an avatar. If you don't like someone's opinion being different to yours, why are you at Nightly?

I think it was meant in humor, nothing more. Because if it was, Yo-Gurt is right- he could put usa sucks or someone could put 'Iraq rules - usa sucks' - that would get way political ...

you can put "the US sucks" up there all you want, you are entitled to your opinion. i dont think there is anything wrong with kwan's icons though, unless it violates the language rule here, that is all i can think of.

The difference between "US sucks" and Kwan's avatar is that Kwan uses an offensive TERM, which by TOS is illegal to use in the message boards. Yogie does have a legit reason for this. While we might not like Germany's politics that much right now, it doesn't give us the excuse to go curse them in a non-cursing messageboard, right?
