If the best poster is voted on by the mods, it's pretty much a given that they'll be good and just go around locking threads, banning people they don't like and posting "who's in charge now, beyotch?!" in every forum.
All in all, a bad (but fun) idea.

Funny thing is we discussed this for April Fools. Instead of giving it to a member, he did it to an alias. No one was the wiser. I'm sure he undid by now though.

I think most people would be bored by the average Admin day. Reply to a couple PMs, answer some questions on Feedback, maybe add some custom titles. Not exactly thrill a minute stuff. Any of the things that people would consider "fun" would certainly be off-limits.
Besides, I guarantee everyone would be disappointed by the banning process. It was a huge letdown to discover the lack of fuss when you ban someone. I think they made it as mundane as possible. Checking a box next to "Disable ability to post" doesn't exactly make you feel like you're raining thunderbolts from the sky.
Anyways, if this was a serious proposition, the answer is no.

I would send out emails to the ppl i banned... saying things like "you are being banned because you are an idiot" and fun stuff like that.
*sigh* I bet it could be a fun job mandard... you just need some creative inspiration... a muse perhaps...
