Well, I don't think there's any rule going against this... after all, it is your business what you say with others. However, if you really don't like it you can block them, can't you? (Haven't used PMs in about six months.)

If it's just an isolated instance, I don't think it's anything to worry about. And yes, you can block people so nobody has to put up with someone who's continually spamming you. And if I found out there was somebody repeatedly spamming a large amount of members, I'd certainly be willing to do something about it. We do have the ability to turn off people's PM usage.
