I've been considering how I am going to word this without sounding something like "Hey Gu7Z, W3 NEed A DBZ baord!\", but I think that's going to prove extremely hard.
I know it is a long shot, but I didn't think it would hurt to test the waters to see if a skating forum is somewhat feasible. Not one specifically for skating, but which would cover all of the "X-Games" type sports. (I'll let someone else come up with a more trendy name.) And then it couldn't be specifically about participating in them, but talk about if there are going to be competitions in different areas soon, what sort of gear is good and what isn't, new video games and music related to it and so forth..
As I said, I'm just testing the waters. I'm not sure if there are enough people here who go for that sort of thing who could suport an entire board devoted to it. Maybe so, maybe not, but hey.. if we can have an entire forum dedicated to Final Fantasy of all things, there's no harm in trying I guess.

I think it sounds [retty good, but that would only appeal to the teenage members, and some adults

As a Former Skateboarder, a Xtream Sports Forum or a Definitive thread to Xtream Sports in the Sports forum would be nice.. Ill probably give tips to whomever who needs it.

I'm going to be predictable and say that Extreme Sports are probably covered by the General Sports Forum, unless of course we have a barrage of people start asking for an X-Games forum.

go make a thread in the sports forum, because i just don't see a forum being made for xtreme sports here. now, if there was a strong following, sure, but seeing that i don't ever see anything about extreme sports in the sports forum, i don't see it happening.

Please... let's not use the word extreme, xtreme or anything like that in the name. Alternative Sports maybe?

I don't know. I would think that mainstream sports would be a lot more popular than extreme sports and while our Sports board does alright, it's not exactly bursting at the seams. I don't think that's a good sign.
So let's just say that it's not an awful idea, but there are quite a few other boards that we would see before something like this.

DMC made a good point guys. I understand how you guys would enjoy it, but there never has been a thread about alternative sports let alone a board. Like you said above your testing the waters. Well, make a few threads so more people can come adapted to the idea and understand the many styles and expansion of xtreme sports. Sounds like a more feasible way of testing rather than making a board.
Personally, I wouldn't mind indulging in alternative sports and sharing what I know and taking in what I don't.

But then you wouldn't be able to post in it.

We could always make a ouji forum or something for the dead people to post in.
