This idea just hit me only moments ago. What do you think about the idea of some how having on the main page a latest chatter section?
I mean somewhere on the mainpage have a little table that lists oh say the top 5 visited threads overall? Like the topics with the most traffic for that particular time, sort of like a hit chart.
Maybe a small little table underneath the my profile, directory, search, faq, forum home??? Just the most popular threads of last hour or something? Might even look better underneath the latest member.
An example being: If your busy reading past topics in the Movie Forum while a topic in the Cantina has gotten the most traffic in the past hour you'd be able to recognize it more efficiently?

Merely an idea, nonetheless. I think it would be a great addition to Nightly and very useful.

Ideas have potential and without releasing them you'll never know.

Perhaps you've missed the "Today's Active Topics" link at the top of the main page?

Nevermind, it doesn't actually say what thread has gotten the most traffic, just what the last person said in it. [Hmmm]

Sounds like something we already have. Haven't you ever had the urge to click on the Recent Visitors heading and see what happens? You should try it.
