still offiliated with Star Wars Chicks? I thought they got their own ezboard... so whats the deal? I mean whats the point of keeping the title of the forum SWC if we aren't offilated with them? I can't really think of a better name but Im sure we could think of something...

Reasonable question. We used to have a link to their site on the bottom of the page, we don't now. So no, we are no longer affiliated.

One: That means they are still affiliated with us it seems that we are no longer affiliated with them....
I wouldn't want it to be named something that gay... just thinking about it I think something none star wars would be good. I understand this is a star wars message board but I am thinking after there are no more SW movies coming out... Maybe something like
The Ladies Room The Powder Room
I know thre could be something better but to name it but just something that makes you think of a lady when you see the title....

This is exactly why there is a Star Wars Chicks website and message board. Because girls/women/chicks like to talk about SW. Doesn't matter if there are more movies coming out or not. There are limited places where girls feel comfortable talking about SW because so many are male dominated and we hear "oh girls like it too?"
Ladies Room and Powder Room are not only lame but an insult. It's not supposed to invoke visions of bathrooms and girls lockers. It's supposed to be a comfortable place to discuss SW and what ever else we like. It's never exluded guys though. While some are a bit intimadate at first by the name, think how much worse it would be if it was the Powder Room. I think SWC does make you think of ladies.

No I think it's time for a radical change Silky. So the board from here on out should be called "Star Wars Babes" or if that's to sexist, "Star Wars Gals". I know it would be a bold step...but you got to do what you got to do.

Now you're contradicting yourself. So when there are no more Star Wars movies coming out, does that mean the Star Wars boards should change their names? SWC's as much a SW board as it is a forum for girls--the whole point of SWC is to give female fans a forum to talk about the series. Maybe you haven't witnessed it, but a lot of girls DO get a lot of serious crap for liking any science fiction, fantasy, or anime, from a lot of narrow-minded guys that, for whatever reason, consider girls to be vapid and flaky and not capable of really appreciating the genres.

"Star Wars Chicks" makes me think of ladies just fine. The name's been around for at least 4 years now with no problems. And those names you suggested are pretty insulting. Just because we're girls, it doesn't mean that all we talk about are makeup and guys all the time, which is exactly what those names imply.

Yeah, you really killed your point with those name ideas, B Man. Most of the time the whole feminist thing bugs the living crap out of me, but even I couldn't help but notice how chauvanist those titles were.

I never really posted over there much, But the last time I lurked the SWC EZboard was pretty dead. As far as I know SWC at Nightly is really their only active board now. So why change the name?
