Are we ever going to start selling Nightly.Net Merchandise? I know it has been brought up many times in the past, and I still think it would be a good idea. Even if we just had something simple done like shirts or hoodies, I'm sure that with all of the members we have, it could be a smashing success.

You know I was just thinking about this several weeks ago.
Yeah, we tried to do this earlier, but it never got off the ground. First we were going to use cafepress, but just as we were getting into it, they removed their plan for shirts other than white. Since the black t-shirt was the runaway favorite among the members, that was a bit of a problem. I was told that they were reworking their program to offer colored t-shirts, but it's a year and a half later and they still haven't been offered again.
Edit: Nevermind all the stuff I said earlier. For now, we'll look into some of the other potential options that have been brought to our attention.

...and if it could be a member in good standing that we can trust not to rob us all blind, that'd be great, too.
(Or was that already implied? )

The t-shirt idea is a good one. Maybe we could even get a number on the back with our user name across the top like the do in sports.
I can see it now BBoC walking around town in his official Nightly.net T-shirt.
A stylized Nightly.net logo in front, with the URL and on the back

Not a good idea... I like being anonymous.

Plus, it'd cost extra to make customized shirts for each of us. It's a cool idea, but probably too costly in the end.
Other than shirts, what else can we get? Bumper stickers, buttons, that sort of thing?

Huh. Now that I think about it, I guess it has been a while since I checked places out. Last time I made the rounds, I couldn't find a place that would do black t-shirts. That Zazzle place still doesn't, but looks like the other 3 do. Maybe this will work out after all. Thanks for finding them.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but setting up a Paypal account would probably be the best way to pay for the merchandise. I don't fell comfortable giving my credit card # out to strangers.

Yeah. I'd love a Nightly t-shirt, but I'm not giving my card number to anyone, not that I don't trust you all, but I just don't do that sort of thing.

If you all are THAT eager just hit "copy" on the banner and paste it in photo or paintshop, enlarge it, send it in to some company with a black shirt, wait a while and you will have you t shirt- but that would be illegal of course

Imagine waking up one morning, slipping on a Nightly dressing gown, walking downstairs in some Nightly slippers, drinking coffee out of a Nightly mug, pulling on a Nightly shirt or Nightly tie, starting the car with a Nightly keychain attached to your car keys, driving off in your car with Nightly bumper stickers, writing paperwork with a Nightly pen, stopping at the linx after work to use your Nightly golf balls, then going home to log on to Nightly.

Aah, who am I kidding? I'd probably at least get a shirt.

You neglected to mention wearing the Nightly thong when you get up.

You'd be surprised how much of an effect this seemingly small of deal would impact traffic.
But yeah, I would definitely get a shirt no problem.
It would be best if someone that is a bigwig around here could get one of these outside sources to do this. That way, you could use the money after costs towards extending the future and honestly becuase you all deserve it, I don't see why you couldn't keep a percentage of it. You guys take the time to make this happen so why can't you get a few hundred bucks out of it? I mean you see Leo off of Tech TV selling merchandise with his pic on it. But it would have to be a legit resource.

I've started looking into this further, and sent off a couple of e-mail inquiries to get some additional information. I haven't heard anything back yet, but I'll try to keep everybody updated as more information and options become available. I don't want to get any hopes up, but at the same time I'd really like to help make this happen.

I'm really looking into 99dogs.com to see if it would be a good option, but I am a very busy person, so don't expect a report back instantly.
Thank you so much for providing these links, as they really helped me with picking a starting point and will undoubtedly make it easier when determining which direction to pursue. THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!
