When did aliases become looked down upon? Hell, over the years I've probably registered a good dozen of them. The Lando System alone probably has a nearly a thousand aliases to its name.

Aliases are definitely looked down upon, especially when they're unfunny and won't go away, though that's because certain people, who are aware of how unfunny they are, continue to patronize them regardless.

This nails my opinion in one. The only times I've ever posted under another name were days when I didn't notice that JC forgot to log out of Nightly on my computer earlier in the day.
By my count, at least seven current Mods and two Admins have posted under other names. Mandard probably knows a few more that I don't.
I'll even spoil one now:
Darth Bane...is also "The Stool Sample". Strange but TRUE!

I've only ever used one alias as a character in the now defunct Roleplaying board... so I don't think that even really counts.

the only aliases I've ever enjoyed were The Ninja, ming's Idiot Collector, Long Tetris Peice, and Ricky Martin, only for the "why am I so loco" thread in the Lando archives

My aliases are all in prison..or something....now. I swear not to let them out again unless the situation necessitates it. Of course, nobody is going to mention Dennis DeYoung or Tommy Shaw anyway.
