So far, we haven't had too many orders. Considering how often people have asked about it, I thought there would be more interest in it.
So it's poll time. Tell us why you aren't springing for cheap, overpriced novelty products.

Being here in Australia it's Shipping and all that jazz that kills buying stuff online.
eg: I'd win an item on eBay for $5.00 and it ends up costing me $25.00 because the shipping is $20.00... it just aint feasible for me to do it sometimes.
Now, with that said, I WILL own a piece of Nightly merchandise in the future. When I move back to the USA for my Military service, I will be purcharsing galore. So it's just a matter of 'I havent gotten around to it yet.'

I'm going to get something(s) when I get to school in September once I also get myself signed up for ComSup. It's just a matter of a month or so until I order.

I'm the same way. Add to that I have no credit card and have sworn off them entirely, and the chances of me buying Nightly merchandise is slim.

I don't really have any money for this stuff anyways, but if I had.. I still wouldn't buy anything.
What's the point really? lol I'm sure they're nice items and everything but it all seems pretty pointless to me. It kind of has the same feel as say.. buying a Mug from Burger King. Sure.. I go there often and like what they have to offer, but I could really care less about owning a Burger King mug.

A number of reasons for me...
I don't have a credit card, most of all. Also, because I'm trying to watch what I spend because I'm moving to college in another month. Some of the things on there are sort of cool, but there's really very little point in buying any of it. It might be really neat to have something like the car frame or bumper sticker if you lived in a large city where there are quite a few Nightly posters in hopes that you might be spotted. But aside from that, I can't really think of why I would want any of those things.
It's just that for right now, spending money for something with the name of a message board isn't high on my priority list.

I've got my eye on the licsense plate frame and one of the ball caps. I don't usually where hats but I'd certainly make an exception for an official Nightly cap.

Mandard, you just hit me at a wrong time. With my disposable income, Nightly gear isn't on the list. And I don't have much(if any) disposable income at this time. Losing a 5 year job doesn't help...

This would make a great slogan. I wish all merchants were this forthright. Forget stlyish advertizing campaigns and marketing to target demographics, just ask them all up front why they're so thoughtless as to not buy your product.

I don't have enough money right now. Even if I did, I never really had any overwhelming desire for Nightly-related merchandise in the first place. Might be nice to have a t-shirt, though, so I'll probably buy one of those. Or a thong!

I'd buy it, but I really don't want to have to explain to my friends what Nightly is and why I felt so compelled to buy a T-Shirt for it. I'd prefer they be kept in the dark about my internet message boarding. So I'll end up with a shirt I'll never wear.

It's simple: I don't have the F***ING MONEY!
Seriously though, this should be remedied hopefully within the year (hopefully with the next month) and then I just might do a bit of Christmas shopping (for myself).
Right now, I haven't even bothered to look at what's available, simply to avoid depression.

Maybe if this program had been put into existence before a ton of people left this board, before many sponsors left this board, before 2 years or so had passed, you might have had more response. I mean, I'll wait a decade and a half for Indiana Jones, but Mandard, man, you're not Indy and neither is Nightly.net I'm afraid to say.
It's just like banner ads. You guys have been offered the chance to get money by selling ads to members for their non-message board sites. You've declined. Now, when your other sources of funding dry up down the road and you turn to that, do you really think people are going to say, "Hey, now that nobody wants to fund the board in other ways, it's a perfect time for me to sink money into advertising there!"?
I haven't and won't purchase NN gear because, quite frankly, why would I spend money to help pay for a board and advertise that board just walking around when that board won't even consider me paying them to help advertise my own site when they allow advertising of sites that bear no relation to NN at all?
I mean, the notion that the members of this board are the one group that cannot advertise their own sites on this board is the most laughable thing I think you guys have ever done, laughable even more when you're sitting there with your hands out. But, that's a debate for another age.
Good luck, you're gonna need it.

I may have missed something, but this is the first time I've heard anything about that. That program actually seems like it would be a really good idea, probably more so than the current Google ads if it were to catch on. Or they could be used in addition to those, just at the bottom of the screen.
Good gosh, I've actually found myself agreeing with General Kenobi on something. What the hell is the world coming to?
