I'm always having to reduce my titles to get them to fit. Just a few more characters would usually work if it can be changed. I know we don't want paragraph sized titles but it seems I'm having to shorten my thread titles more than I use too. I was just wondering if this was something that could be slightly increased or is it set in the UBB?

You seemed to make this topic title work out just fine...

I don't know. Latelty I've just noticed an increase in the amount of times I have had to reword thread titles compared to the past. It's usually just a few characters. Maybe I'm just being more verbose with my titles than usual. I thought maybe the setting for that on the UBB might have got set to a lower default or something like that during the last upgrade.

That's a reflection on your work or even the times, not on how the boards handle things - look inward.

It's hard-coded into the UBB. I couldn't say for sure, but I don't think it's been decreased recently.
We could manually hack it to be longer but I think the current limit is reasonable. I believe it's set so that at normal resolutions, the thread titles will almost always fit on one line. Which is nice, because the forums look better when the thread titles aren't wrapping to a second line.
