Don't get your panties in a bunch. If it is a thread about one specific thing with larger implications it stays open. If it is just somebody listing off the fact they got the DVD and their feelings on a bulk of changes, it can go into the larger discussion thread.
It is redundant, and would start t get cluttered if everybody who sees the DVD went and made their own thread for just their feelings. It would be the same discussion over and over.
We followed the exact same proceedure for when the movies have been released to theaters and it has always kept things tidy.

Those two topics were already being talked about, that's why i closed them.
Sorry if think I'm being a nazi, but i think it is a pain in the ass to have the same discussions in more than one thread.
And when AOTC was released we DID have a I SAW AOTC thread, and most threads of the "OMG I JUST SAW AOTC" variety were closed.
I'm not trying to be a nazi, if enough people think that a topic should exist outside of the official thread, I'm not going to shut it down just cause I have OCD.
Go ahead, start a topic of discussion that isn't alreayd being talked about and isn't fluff and i will leave it alone.

Just to reiterate, if anyone has had a SW DVD style thread closed, and you think it warrants it's own converation, just let me know and I'll gladly reopen it.
My only issue is to keep threads of people just saying OMG YAY THIS IS COOL LOL! in one thread. If people wnat more branching out, that is absolutely fine.
Just speak up.

If the PS3 is so incredibly superior to the Xbox 360 in game quality, game quantity, game breadth, game visuals, depth of the digital entertainment experience and price, God bless them.

Um... Why would someone start a separate thread if they didn't think it warranted its own conversation? The way I see it, this M.O. just creates more work for you. You close a thread, the person complains about it, you reopen it. Save time and effort and just leave it be, eh? No? Well, I never liked you anyway.
