I didn't even remember what Narnia was until I read this topic. While we're at it, why not a Batman board in honour of the Batman Begins movie coming out? That would probably be better. The Bat Board!

Here's a plan: Create the forum, leave it open for a limited time, say a month, and if it gets some traffic, great, and if not, shut it down. Whaddaya think about that?
Some possible thread ideas: 1. Comparisons between book(s)/movie(s) 2. Movie Spoilers/predictions/speculations 3. Reactions to film 4. Aslan as Christ figure 5. Significance of (------------) (insert character name) 6. C S Lewis as sci-fi writer/christian author 7. WETA Digital's FX work
blah blah blah
Heck, were I the mod (ahem) of a Narnia forum, I would even welcome threads comparing the Narnia series to other major works of fantasy. I would also like to see some threads discussing the influence of Narnia on other contemporary fantasy writers (David and Leigh Eddings, Mercedes Lackey, George R. R. Martin, et. al.)
All fantastic suggestions. You should make a thread (or two?) in the Printing Press, see what sort of reaction comes from the people there who might not check Feedback. I'd really like for a Narnia board to start, it'd be a lot of fun.

As for that (not Comics and ANIMATION), I was thinking of renaming it the Marvel board, just for Fantastic Four. But the Bat Board idea, that's gotta be bigger than Narnar, ur, Narnia.

Except to post polls advertising for another forum. Particularly for a type of forum that would drain what little discussion is still being had AT the Printing Press!
Here's a novel idea, instead of asking for a NEW Narnia/Fantasy forum IN the Printing Press, how about you actually post a thread DISCUSSING Narnia in the Printing Press?! THEN, MAYBE, people will ACTUALLY go to the Printing Press forum! Doesn't that sound lovely? Hmm?
[THT Edit]This rant brought to you today by your friendly neighborhood Printing Press Moderator. Have a nice day. [/THT Edit]

Thankfully, it doesn't work that way anymore. Thanks to our independent server, disk space isn't the handicap it's been in the past. If we wanted to bust out a dozen new forums at once and leave open every forum ever made in perpetuity, we'd have the space for it, but there're creative and aesthetic reasons not to do so.
Long story short: the fates of both forums are largely unrelated except by the coincidental timing of their independent vicissitudes.
Um, short story simplified: no, Buffy didn't die just so Narnia could live. Anyone who tells you otherwise has been suckered by someone who knows far less than they wish they did.

In all seriousness, yes. Yes, you did.

All good ideas, now get to work getting them started.

That's good to know, because this thread got more action than that whole forum.
It's had all of 1 post since last Thursday.

Once I grab some Buffy DVD's I intend to make the forum live again through the TV forum unless someone does so before I do.
