Hi all

I have not been receiving e-mail alerts when someone posts a response to a topic I have been following.

I guess that something must be wrong with my Profile settings but I can't work out what.

Can someone please tell me how to update my settings so that I receive an e-mail when someone posts a reply to a topic? Thank you.

Go to "my profile" then "edit profile" check the box towards the bottom for that option and make sure you click the Update Profile button at the bottom of the page or else it wont work.

Go to "My Profile" and then "Edit Topic Notifications" and check to see if you really are subscribed to any threads.

Hi all

I'm getting replies to my messages, I just can't work out how to subscribe to threads.

I did manage to do it at some point because I'm currently subscribed to two threads, Goblet of Fire Picture Thread and Gandalf Question.

Which box should I check? I don't see one that would allow automatic topic notification, although there's a load of other stuff.

On every other board I belong to I'm able to do it, but I don't see the right box/option there.

If you want to know when people have replied to threads, ala this one.

You need to use the 'Full Reply Form' not the Quick Reply.

Then type your message, but before you post it, scroll down pasts the Graemlins. There are three boxes you can check.

"Email Notifications"
"Show Signature"
"Disable Graemlins"

Select the 'Email Notification' one. That'll ensure that you will be sent an email once you've replied to the thread, with that checked box. You'll know when someones replied.
I believe there are the same corresponding boxes when you create a thread/poll.

If this doesnt work, make sure the email address you're using is the same one you registered with.

If neither of these things dont work... well, your computer hates you. Try sports.
