Why are people bumping threads that Yogie started? First the one in Lando and now the one here about Mandard being Mormon. WHEN WILL THE INSANITY STOP?

What I like to do is delete his bumping posts to shoot the thread right back down to hell. But all the ****tards in Lando like to post a whole lot in those threads, making it impossible to do so.

Bumping is only useful if somebody starts a new topic about something that already exists but hasn't been discussed in awhile. Had an incident like this over @ SWS this past week; somebody made a topic about something that was alreayd posted some time ago, then sombody linked yp to the existing thread of the same topic, and I locked it up. Now the conversation continues in the orignal thread.
Outside of that, bumping rarely ever has a useful purpose.

Indeed I do it a lot. Bumping up a thread that is.
And I like to do it. I like to do it because the topic(s) in question either enticed me once or still interests me and I feel it should be on the forefront for people to peruse.
On a side note, Jedigoat still lays claim to being the official thread resurrector 'round these parts. Some of us are trying (albeit not too hard) to take that self-proclaimed title away from him.
Additionally, I don't generally ''up'' topics with use of the simple word 'bump' as I've seen around Nightly; now that I admit could be a bit irritating.
