Is it possible to change the colour schemes on Nightly? I'm getting terrible screen glare in work.
If it's not, can a choice of schemes be implemented so people can select something that is a bit easier on the eye? Or retain the classic Nightly look if they so wish

A skin chooser might be a cool idea, but it would be difficult to implement because the color schemes vary so much from one forum to the next in most cases.

Not to mention that as far as my knowledge goes the version of UBB that we use does not have a skin chooser option.
One thing I've also learned here in my time at Nightly is that the majority here is not too down with change. This scheme is widely enjoyed and I would expect any idea to to change it would be easily shot down by the majority of members here.

One of the reason's I like nightly is because of its "dark" nature.

Jason--skin choosing is usually a CSS trick (maybe JavaScript?)...I don't see why it couldn't be implemented into UBB, since it probably just involves inserting snippets of code in key places. But whether or not it's worth doing is something else...the colors now are quite easy on the eyes, but yeah, there can be a bit of a glare--I'm staring at my own reflection and checking out my hair as I type this.

Hmm, interesting. Well I guess the best people to touch up on whether it can be done are those who know the most about it, which would be JA and/or Mandard.

No version of UBB.classic has that option.

I was asking about a choice, not a change. I love the Nightly look personally and on my lovely flatscreen at home it's no bother. Just I usually come on and check on my CRT in work and it's a nightmare.

Yes, DRW, that's a no. And exactly what kind of problem are you having with your monitor at work?
Amidala777 - If Infopop (aka. Groupee) doesn't get their butt into gear with this new "next gen" product they're developing then, yeah, it might finally be time to ditch UBB.classic.

The monitor works fine, it's just I get tons of screen glare.
Sunny days are a particular annoyance.
Unfortunately my work environment doesn't really help me do much to help that situation. The Blue/Black background with white text is a nightmare to read under these conditions.
Anyway, It's not really a moan from me. Just a query.
Thanks JA.
