I keep hitting logout and it keeps my signed on. It even keeps going to the screen that says I am logged out but when I return to the main page I am still logged on.

Hmm, I use Firefox and can log out just fine. Do you have the latest version (1.0.7)?

Well crap so much for looking the hero. Perhaps clearing your cookies? Or heck could even be one of those damn tracking cookies, they can do some weird crap, could try a spyware scan.

I can't delete all my cookies because I autolog onto a bunch of sites that I don't have a password for.

Same here. But the only time I use it is when switching to another nightly username. Oh and using the Kiosk function on QT. It doesn't work on Firefox...

The only problem with that, you will have to log in every single time. Lazy as I am, that option would just not do... But, it would work.

Hmm...I'm not sure if this would work, but if you go to Tools, Options, Privacy, and extend the Saved Passwords tree, there's an option that lets you view all your saved passwords. If that information is stored there you could write down or copy the info.

This begs the question why won't firefox let me f'n logout? IS it just me? If so, what is wrong with my system?

Like they said, it's probably a problem with the cookie for this site. If you use firefox, then all your passwords should be saved in the "Saved Passwords" area. That is if you said yes for it to store it. If you did this, then you should have all your passwords saved on firefox, and when you try to log in again, the login info will be there. Your cookies folder has nothing to do with this, and deleting your cookies will not affect the passwords saved in the "Saved Passwords" folder. It will delete any saved information that cookies would normally save, but you should still have your login info if you allowed Firefox to record it. If you still have reason to doubt that it'll be there though, just go in manually and delete any cookies from Nightly.net. Tools > Options > Cookies > View Cookies and scroll till you see the nightly.net cookies. Delete them, and you can also give the option to not allow them to come onto your computer if you wish.

Download the program, save it to a disk or something and put all the passwords in it. Then, you just need to remember one single password to access the program. It even has an Auto-type feature that'll insert your username, password and submit them at the click of a mouse. I love it.

Go to your profile and "Delete All Cookies". That will clear everything from nightly and you can start fresh.

(It's Groundhog Day: the Thread!)
It doesn't delete other cookies, just all your cookies from nightly. It should do the trick for any login-related problem.
