Granted my security settings can be pretty loose, but some ad keeps setting off the ActiveX alert.
Any way to lock in to just text-link ads or do we have to have the graphical stuff as well?

Pretty much all of the ads set off the alert for me. I just ignore them and take 30+ hour breaks from nightly to let my incredibly violent rage die down.

Do all image ads do that or is it just one in particular? I've never had that alert come up, but if it's just a problem with one, we do have the ability to filter out specific ads.
We could turn off image ads altogether, but they do bring in more money than the text ads. Like, a LOT more. If possible, I'd prefer to leave them on, but I'd be willing to kill them if the problems were widespread.
Anyone else having issues with ActiveX alerts?

All GoogleAds (including the text) or just image ads? If it's all ads, then something else is going on. A simple text banner should not set off any alerts.
It's also possible that your guys security settings in IE are set too high. Go into Tools->Internet Options->Security. Default settings should be fine or you can go in and custom tweak things to your liking. I assume you could also add nightly to the "Trusted Sites" category but I've never used that feature myself so I don't know if it works.

Hmm. I just ran into a Burger King SW ad a minute ago. It worked fine for me but I did notice it was a fancy one with animation and stuff. More fancy than anything else I've seen here. Could this be the one giving people problems?

It's any ad that uses ActiveX. I purposefully disabled it eons ago in my quest to eliminate all sources of spyware. I probably disabled it when I was using spybot blaster.

It seems to be the BK one. Apparently the only one that's a problem.

This is awkward - I've had a similar problem but not on Nightly - I've had this ActiveX problem somewhere else but never on Nightly, even with the fancier advert.
