Not necessarily. Here are the results: it all went down exactly as the scores would indicate ...
Pat Bowen finished with 0.
Pharoah JZA risked everything but came up with 'What is ?', therefore tying Bowen in third place.
Why third place?? Because even though Darth Irish came up with a response of 'Who is Mickey Mantle?' and seemingly followed the clue all the way, the truth of the matter is that the clue was followed only about 90% of the way, and he veered off and took a detour at the last offramp!
Down to 0 for DI.
Nomaa Jedi Piarra risked but 1 and having won a game with 1, it was a wise wager. But he got the response incorrect and finished with 2899, still good for second place.
And how appropriate in this game of champions that the only contestant to get the reply correct was the points leader Darth Wicket himself, with 'Who is Gil McDougald?', therefore upping his total to 36000.
I called it the wickedest Final Jeopardy clue, it should have been called the Wicketest clue!
And having pulled a Jerome Bettis of sorts, Wicket has decided to retire on top, having vanquished all previous titlists in this game of champions.
But wait, there's more - play again within the next day or so, and you'll get Wicket as a host. That's right, have your keyboard and mouse ready and as Opening Day approaches, how apropos that baseball aficionado Darth Wicket opens it up by becoming host of Game 24.
So congratulations to all contestants, all champions in their own right, but truthfully, a bigger and better congrats to our All-Champions Game winner Darth Wicket.
In celebration of this achievement, an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie marathon:

Oh, come on. Stop whining. You kids are soft. You lack discipline. Well, I've got news for you. You are mine now. You belong to me! You're not going to have your mommies here to wipe your tushies. Oh, no. It's time to turn this mush into muscles. No more complaining. No more, "Mr. Kimble, I have to go to the bathroom." Nothing! THERE IS NO BATHROOM!
Thanks to Primbud for the Schwarzenegger picture marathon. I am looking forward to this next game...hope you all enjoy it. Even though I am stepping down from contestants row, I still will keep all the stats.

I would also like to say I was honored to take part in such a celebrity laden game...this game smashed the old record for number of guest appearances in a game by SJ XVIII with 26. This champions edition had a grand total of 56 guest appearances..of course that could be due to the fact this Jeopardy took three months to play out to the end.
