I've read them all and I rate them at a 5 out of 5 stars. They are awesome. I read them in about 2 months(all of them).

I will tell you this though. I do not suggest reading the books under her psydonym (sp?). They are boring...I guess I could say.

There was the Sleeping Beauty trilogy that I only finished because it's a trilogy.

She is much better at horror than anything.

I really enjoyed the first three vampire chronicles, queen of the damned being my favorite. Mnemnoc the Devil is one of my favorites. Read them in order or you might get lost.

I think I may start reading them over.

I really enjoy Anne Rice's vampire books. Her Mayfair Witches series is also very well written. Tale of the Body Theif is one of my favorites, followed closly by Queen of the Damned. The Witching Hour will always be my favorite by her though.

Why Annie, why?

quote:
Anne Rice, the chronicler of vampires, witches and—under the pseudonym A. N. Roquelaure—of soft-core S&M encounters, will publish "Christ the Lord: Out of Egypt," a novel about the 7-year-old Jesus, narrated by Christ himself. "I promised," she says, "that from now on I would write only for the Lord."

This is old news, but new to me. We lost another one to Jesus.

I've never considered her vampire books horror. They seem more like dark romance novels to me.
