This is basically a sonnet I'm turning into my english class tomorrow. I was pretty proud of it, so I thought I'd post it here.
Some background info, a lot of the things done in the sonnet, such as describing the ramen as I did, were for comedic effect. My girfriend is in the same english class as me, and the whole class knows about us.
She threatened to hurt me if I did it on her.
So I thought it'd be funny to write this, about an inanimate object, and watch the rest of the class freak out.
in any case, here is the sonnet:
It is hard to not lose my composure When thinking of the greatness afforded from you The warmth you provide from your sunny exposure has no competition from the earth which is true.
Your golden blond locks are hard to ignore your adornments of green are endearing. your bubbly substance makes me yearn for more And depresses me to see you disappearing.
What ecstasy, thus, to behold your snow face Seduced to a trance by your pledge. I prepare to indulge and begin in a race to remove your protective white dredge.
What sweet torture it is, to behold you in your closet. Waiting three minutes full to consume your composite.

Okay, check this out. I read this thing five times, trying to figure out what the HELL you were talking about. Then I wrote this:
quote:Finally got a few quiet moments to check this out.
I really like this. I just wish I could figure out what the freak you're talking about! AHHHHH!!!! It's on the tip of my brain! >:-#
But don't tell me, not even a clue. I'll bet if I sleep on it I'll figure it out.
THEN, and only THEN (right before I hit reply) did I go back up and look at the title of this thread! HYUCK! Hi! I'm Kellie Pickler's dumber cousin! Hyuck! The object you describe in the sonnet is in the freaking title! Holy cow I'm stoopid. I'm going to bed!
Anyway, moist excellent! I also love Ramen soup and think I'll slam a spicy shrimp before I crash in honor of my brain. >:-#
What kind of grade/response did you get?

The teacher loved it, most people were surprised at how well I described it, and everyone loved it.
since it was extra credit, it was only like +5 points, but since the presentation (I made a paper cup, cut up post it notes to make ramen, and colored other paper orange, green & yellow to make peas)
was good also, and due to some strange circumstances, involving her wanting me to put them up individually, so that when she presented it people couldn't guess, I got + 10.
