I have three lined up for month and prolly one more from my mom.. but here's the current tally:

The Gnostics by Tobias Churton
Arab Historians of the Crusades by Francesco Gabieli
and The Knight by Alan Baker

I picked them up at B&N on sale as I'm going to have two six hour car rides in the next week and figured it would be a perfect time to do some reading. [Smile]

Currently a mystery

The Dante Club by Matthew Pearl

Just read the leaf and the First Chapter, and it is starting off interesting. Its about a string of murders that are being commited in post Civil War Boston. A group of well know doctors/poets have just finished the American translation of The Devine Comedy, but a group of powerful professors at Harvard are trying to prevent its release.

Things get really crazy as it turns out that gruesome killings are modeled after the descriptions of hells punishments in Dante's Inferno.

I like it because it is very graphic and doesn't water down any detail.

--------------------
Randal- I need to borrow your car.

Dante- Why?

Randal- I wanna go rent a movie.

Dante- But you work a video store!

Randal- I work at a crappy video store. I wanna goto a good video store so I can rent a good movie.

Just finished up Hyperspace by Michio Kaku and Orwell's 1984. I have to finish The Sum of All Fears by Tom Clancy and then I'll be picking up Dante's The Divine Comedy and Homer's Illiad.
