Okay among other things (including a new Night Creeper figure and a new B.A.T. V3.2 figure which looks hella sweet), Kay-Bee Toys had the Stormshadow/Snake-Eyes 2-pack w/ the movie included. I have hinted it as a gift idea to my g/f, who is also looking to get me one of the classic Transformers that are out right now - most likely Starscream
I wish they re-distribute Soundwave & Shockwave, Soundwave of course coming w/ some of those mini-cassette Decipticons like Laserbeak, Ravage, & Frenzy, that would rule!

I still have my brothers old Soundwave, missing paint & missing cassette deck door, missing cannonrs...you can imagine.
What really p*sses me off is how here in the US we don't get the re-release of the original Megatron due to his gun-shaped tranformation DAMNIT it's a f*cking toy! They just couldn't let this one slide, not even just this once!
The least they could have done is made it a mail-in offer of some kind so that not just any little kid could go buy the "evil gun-shaped toy"

It sucks, but its also a good testament to how cool (and realistic) that alternate mode was for Megatron.
Makes me wonder what alternate mode they're gonna give Megatron in the new movie. You know they're gonna release a toy line under the movie license. They'll probably make Megatron a tank.

I remember a mess in the USA about putting The Real Ghostbusters and Transformers back onto the air among others because of their violence - they even cut out tiny parts including 'incorrect' jokes - some freedom.

I know both Transformers and G.I.Joe aired before FFC rules really set in. They came on at just the right time, between the era of strict network televisions and the era of strict FCC regulations.
The stuff they put on their, the politically incorrect stuff like "the independent, socialist, federated republic of Carbombya", they wouldn't be able to do these days.

What do you think about starting up the Transformers Movie thread of mine again? Apparently, when I moved it to that EZBoard, it got lost. I do still have most of the screenshots I used.

Just a reminder that the first half of season 3 comes out on DVD Tuesday.
I found my Belated Birthday present lol, even though today is my actual birthday!

Apparently, from the people who have seen the last episode of Armada in Canada and the UK, the final battle between Optimus Prime and Megatron is better than the one in the original movie.
There's also a very cool quote that Prime has at the end, but I won't spoil it. Posts: 5362 | Registered: Apr 2002

So the next time you look out into space and see a peaceful star far, far away, it just might be Cybertron. TRANSFORM!"

Got my Season 3 (part 1) DVDs yesterday. Great quality. I notice that the DVD puts back material that was originally cut in the re-broadcasts.

I recently bought and read the 1st novel in the Transformers book trilogy that's coming out. It's called Hardwired and takes place after the first year of the Dreamwave comics [collected in the vol 1 TPB] Overall it's pretty good; some of the character development you may or may not like but I don't want to get to detailed or else I'd spoil the story.
I will say that explanations are "hinted at" as to where all that Transformer tech went when bits and pieces got blown off of the Autobots or Decepticons. And Starscream is up to his old tricks again.

I read some of it, and liked it up to a point. Admittedly, I gave up when it started getting weird (the Autobots and Decepticons being abducted by aliens or whatever they were).
I guess part of my beef is that I'm so used to hearing the characters talk in the show, and I couldn't imagine them talking the way they were in the book (like Jazz).
But, of what I read, I did like a lot of the stuff with Starscream, particularly when he took on the USAF and took over Las Vegas (reminded me of "The Stand").
