Great opening scene with Vic, Shane, and Ronny finding out about Lem and IAD!

I think its clear that NO ONE can EVER know that Vic actually killed Terry. Its something that he and Shane will take to the grave. Vic telling Lem that he feels "responsible" for Terry's death is as close as he'll get to telling anyone the truth.

Now that Corinne knows the truth about Cavanaugh she has to blow him off; no Pun intended. I wonder what dirt they'll find on Cavanaugh? And i still think that something big is going to happen to Aceveda. Somehow someone is going to find out what really to him and his rape. His rapist's girlfriend is still out there, maybe she'll tell someone the truth.??

I'm seeing a major misdirection here on Cavanaugh's part. He makes all appearances that he's running after Vic, and Aceveda said after giving IAD the files on Terry's death that he was out. Yet Cavanaugh keeps dragging him back in. I wonder if IAD or someone on the City Council is using the whole investigation on Vic as bait to ruin David's political career. That would be great!

I suppose its the writers of the show that want Aceveda out. By this i mean that his character has further distanced himself from the Farmington group. As a city council member you have to wonder what connection and pull he has on Vic and everyone else. He has had very little interaction with Vic. and co. I say he'll be involved in something MAJOR in the next couple of episodes.

Yeah it does, the ending to this episode was awesome when Vic and Cavanaugh stare each other down, though next episode looks like it is going to be crazy. I don't think that the Strike Team would so blatantly get caught and are going to turn the tables on Aceveda and Cavanaugh.

Totally agree guys, next weeks ep. does look Fantastic!!! Glad to see the Russians back in the picture, those guys are brutal and cut-throat and give The Strike Team they can handle.

As far as this ep. goes, the last scene with Vic and his CI was awesome. When she told him, "I didn't know you then." Vic immediately knew that she was playing him all along. However, i'm still a little confused as to what exactly she meant?? What do guys think she meant by this??

Also, its clear to me anyway that Aceveda and Cavanaugh are playing each other. One of them is going to end up screwing over the other.

I think that what she meant was at the time she started ratting on Vic, he was just another tip that IAD would pay her for. By the time of the confrontation she had gotten to see him as a rather caring individual, and probably really liked him for what he was doing to help out with her son. She just lacked the guts to tell Vic, or to tell IAD to pound sand.

Whats going on with the Russians, its obviously a set up on Vics part since he knows that Lem is wired. But what is his plan, is he going to use them to kill Acevada and Cav? Hmmmmm I wonder.

I really enjoyed this episode, this season keeps getting better and better, it seems the writers want us to think Vic is the daddy of Danni's baby, or at least thats what I got out of it, though that doesn't mean he actually is, we finally find out Claudette has Lupus, man Cavanaugh flipped out at the end, its becoming personal between him and Vic, as it was between Vic and Aceveda, hopefully this will lead Cavanaugh to slip up...

Hey everyone,
new to the site here but I've been watchin the Shield since day 1 and I think I've seen season 1 - 3 probably about 4 times a piece, haven't gotten around to watchin four over again but it's coming...

I've got a few comments about the posts I've read on this:

First off, I desperately hope that the father of Danny's baby is the black fence from the past few seasons...he's one of my favorite characters, I think the writers are just trying to make it seem like the father is Vic.
I have no idea how this thing with IAD is gonna end but I have to say that tonights episode (with the Russian sting) was absolutely incredible. definitely the best of the season.

I don't know if you've noticed but Vic is setting up Aceveda for a huge fall without Aceveda even doing anything wrong (this time). I think that Cav is gonna start looking into Aceveda and what I'm hoping will happen is Aceveda helps Vic out with the IAD sting to get Cav off his back

Well, hope these ideas are acceptable lol.
PS I don't think this will be the last season because I couldn't see the writers for this show running out of great plots

Well Cav slipped HUGE tonight, letting Vic and company know that they are bugged like that. He blew all elements of surprise right there not there would be any. And a great set up by Vic, though I can't see how things are going to get straightened out with Lem. They will need higher up help somewhere.

I love how Vice is turning Aceveda and Cav against each other, one is going to end up taking the other down.

Great episode, I'll say more later, as now i have to go to work.

Welcome Nyamo, glad to see other fans of this great show willing to discuss it.

I Agree this was, I think, the best ep. of the season so far. I honestly thought Vic and co. were making a dirty deal with the Russians. However, i thought that Acaveda was going to tip Vic and turn it around to screw cavanaugh. The look on Acaveda and Cavanaugh's faces when they found out it was all a sting to set the Russians was priceless!!

Def. getting personal with Vic and IAD. You gotta figure Vic will come out on top but who knows.

Judging by next weeks episode Corrine is at or near a breaking point. IAD wants her to admit that Vic killed Terry but she has no idea so what's Cavanaugh going to squeeze her with??Maybe ttaking away her kids??

I don't get why Corrine doesn't get an attorney or somthing, it doesn't seem right that they could interrogate her like that...

My thoughts:

Dutch keeps trying on that chick cop. How ironic would it be if she turned out to be a lesbian, and Julian was the one who found out. Hell that might just get them working together, having a common bond and all.

Looks like the "who's the daddy?" question will be asked for a little while longer.

Dutch and Claudette are due for a mulit-episode serial-(fill in the blank here) case.

I see Vic turning things around and getting Billings, Aceveda, and Cavanaugh in a total Charlie Foxtrot that costs at least one of them their jobs.

I still see Shane's wife playing a part in possibly screwing up Vic's well laid plans for fending off IAD.

Totally agree. She should just tell Cavanaugh to F-off!! Plus, she doesn't have anything to tell Cavanugh. The only thing i can think of was the $$$ Vic gave her last season. Probably the Money train Cash Lem Didn't burn.

BTW, Iowahawkes i'm killing myself avoiding your spoiler. I prefer to be surprised with each new episode.

Sorry DarthAl, it isn't a huge spoiler and is purely speculative, I didn't know if anyone thought it would ruin anything, I actually read it in like an Entertainment Weekly article a while back, I'll take it out so you don't accidently read it.

Yeah Vic did get Corrine some cash, but there's not much else that she actually knows about. He was doing a pretty good job keeping his work seperate from his home life.

Watching Cavanaugh trash the safe house was great.

I think Dutch will do something BAD to that new cop... they slowly have been building up how its all about the power to the criminal, and sort of expolored it with the cat in season 3.

Dutch is to much of a prude and chicken-sh*t to actually do something that could get in hot water.

I've only seen Shane's wife once this season. I would be very surprised if she has a major impact on the Strike Team's troubles with IAD. Plus Shane and Vic are really tight again, i doubt Shane would allow anything to happen to jepardize that.

Perhaps the reason her role has been so greatly diminshed. People hating her was the clear intentions of the writers. She drove a wedge between Shane and Vic in season 3 with the whole $$$ Train Fiasco.

While Dutch raping or assaulting the new girl is far fetched, I do see him getting shot down by her, and possibly being the subject of a sexual harassment lawsuit brought on by her.

Well, i hate to say it but it looks like
Claudette's days are numbered. [Frown] I've heard a major character on the show will die and she's the most likely candidate. Sorry to see it cause she's one of my fav. characters on the show and has great chemistry with Dutch.

For those of us who predicted an eventual rift between Aceveda and Cavanaugh, looks like it now is going to happen. IAD is not only going after Vic but now after Aceveda as well. I predict this will lead to them teaming up to take down Cavanaugh. They've done it before in season 2, when their backs are to the wall they work well together.

Cavanaugh is now one of the biggest D##ks ever on a cop drama show. An absoulute A**Hole!!!
