Excellent question one we've all been wondering about. The rumor was that this season was going to be longer than usual perhaps as much as 12 xtra episodes. But the season finale is next week so that's not true.
Here's hoping we won't have to wait too long !!

I thought the same about Kav and Corrine, but A) That would be WAY out of character of Kav to do and B) Corrine will do it just to piss off Vic for supposedly inpregnating Danny.
I don't think Lem will turn at all, he has held strong this entire time, and like in the preivew it sure doesn't look like he turns.
I just hope he makes it.
As for this episode it was the best yet! Vic back to being the whore, but what I loved most was for the first time, Vic lost it. I can't remember a time in any season where Vic had no real plan and was panicing like he was at the end. And that ending, man it caught me up in it.

Agree with you totally Ashman!! That ending was incredible. You just had to feel for all the guys realizing that the were in a situation that looked hopeless! Poor Lem; He so badly wants to do the right thing. Vic should have Antwon killed from the inside.
It looks like Lem WILL turn in the TST from the previews. I think someone is goin down either Aceveda or Vic.

I noticed the previews are actually quite misleading this season. Everyone thought that this past week Vic was holding a gun to Kav's head and he was begging for his life from the preview the week before. Turns out that didn't happen. I'm hoping that the signs pointing to Lem turning are just a misdirection.

Yeah that's a good point; the previews have been misleading. I wonder what happened with that scene it did look like Vic had a gun to Kav's head. Maybe we'll get something similar next week. I hope Vic beats the crap out of Kavanaugh.

What part are you guys talking about? I saw where they said Lem can't get a deal because he ran, and then Lem saying you cant turn him on his family or did I mishear that?
Now for my moment to shine... I work at a movie theater (lame I know) butwhat makes mine special is that first off its in a high profile area, second off we also are a full service resturant, which means many local celbs hit it up. For instance I have seen number of wrestlers (and I was a huge fan at the time) Andre 3000, A-Rod, Da Bratt and Ludicarious to name a few. I always kept my calm and let them enjoy without being bothered.
But the other night was the first time I lost it so to speak. My staff was talking about some celb and I asked who, they gave the movie he was in but didnt recoginze it. But then he walked by and someone pointed to him, I looked...and shouted out... OH MY GOD! IT'S TAVON!!
He looked back and gave a quick nod and later on I spoke to him just so briefly.

Cool you got to meet Tavon!! I liked his character, was a little bummed when they got rid of him.
Ashaman, were refering to the preview for tomorrow nights ep. where Lem appears to talking to Vic how they've done such terrible things that they need to pay. That's why i, at least, think Lem is going to turn.
Just one more day till the 90 minute Season Finale!!!! Can't wait!!! Posts: 1707 | From: Los Angeles, Ca. | Registered: Jun 2002

Holy ****, what an episode, RIP Lem, this sets the stage for a final Vic vs Shane showdown for the final episodes, so is Whittaker coming back, I was under the impression he was signed for only one season, I was kinda disapointed in only a minor scuffle, I wanted Vic to whoop his ass, I loved Dutch busting out the advice from the pimp on the hottie cop...
This season was the best since the second season IMO, can't wait for the rest of the episodes, will they most likely start after Rescue Me is done with its run in the summer/early fall?

I almost cried, not when the 'nade went off (because you knew the death was coming), but afterward. When dumbass Cletus (because, really, that was a decision only an idiot redneck would make) was crying after blowing Lem up and Lem was just looking at him... Lem was the conscience of the group. Now, the conscience is gone. What's to hold them back now? If Vic or Ronnie finds out that Shane did this, it's over. As soon as another jam up occurs, they'll be looking over their shoulders for Shane. He's got to go.
The next season won't start until January, like every year, most likely.

No this season started much earlier than it usually does and was only 10 episodes long, the speculations was that there would be a final 10 episodes or so later in 2006 to end the series, I'm assuming this will be sometime in the late fall...

Nah, dude. If you check the air dates, the season always starts in January. Last year was different (pushed back to March) because Chiklis was filming Fantastic Four. Which, I might add, he's filming the sequel in the next month or two. This season was 11 eps. And the rumors about the "hidden 10" are just that. Rumors. No season has had more than 13 episodes. That's just how they do things.

Actually, they're supposed to start filming 10 more episodes this spring/summer, according to Chiklis... Afer he wraps F42. As to when they'll air, though, I hope like heck you're right about late fall.

So I'm not a complete idiot lol...like I said they will most likely air after Rescue Me has made its run in the summer/early fall as FX only airs one of their hour long dramas at a time in the same slot, this season did start earlier as at least I know for a fact that Seasons 3 and 4 (can't remember on season 2) aired during the summer with year long breaks in between...

Nah, we got Thief, then Rescue Me, then Nip/Tuck then The Shield, though it may hit late this year.

Damn, you're right... Seasons 2 and 5 were the only ones that started in January. Seasons, 1, 3, and 4 all started in March.
I definitely remember the talk was that Season 4 production had to be pushed back because of Fantastic Four. I was assuming Season 3 was on the same schedule... But, yeah, Shawn Ryan has been saying in interviews the past few days that January 07 is the return date.

Ya know, Ive been watching some old episodes, and the fact Shane did what he did sucked of course, but the way he reacted was so great with his screaming and crying. Espically when you look at the past between the two.
1) Shane helps to convince Lem to lie to Tavon about hitting Mara.
2) Shane telling Lem he didn't want him back on the team for burning the money.
3) Shane constantly reminding Lem the reason they were in the bad situation (season 4) was because of Lem burning the money.
4) Lem giving it to Shane for getting that girl killed.
5) Lem blaming Shane for getting caught since Lem stole the tar to get the info to save Shane's ass.
Just all the at each throats they have been doing for the past few seasons and then Shane's crying made it so much more powerful.

Excellent, Excellent, points Ashaman!!! I agree completely. Shane killing Lem caught me totally off- guard. When Shane pulled over to try and loose the guys trailing him and was sitting there thinking i thought he was going to tip off IAD (anoumously) as to where Lem was. I never thought he'd actually kill him to save his own ass. To me the most tragic part about the whole thing is the that Shane honestly thought that Lem had or was going to sell them out for everything they had done. Shane got it totally wrong and now he's got to live with that.
Love Dutch and Billings as partners; wish these two would have teamed up a long time ago. Anyone else think that Bekka the lawyer got Hotter as the season went along!
What is going to happen now between Vic and Shane?!?! As i see it they will both kill eachother and that will bring The Shield to its Shakespearean-like tragic conclusion.

None official that i've heard. But i'm thinking it probably will be. The show has reached a point where ending it now would be the best thing; considering where the characters are. Plus Season 5 was one of the best from the entire series, why not go out while on top ala Seinfeld!

Considering how good this past season was i'd say that prob. won't happen. THough some would way they "jumped the shark" after season2.

I'm confident in the writer'a ability to keep future seasons on the cutting edge and interesting. Hope we get at least 2 more after this next one.

Very possible; plus you have to add the fact that Vic has already been told by the "powers that be" that he's going to be forced to retire in a few months (the asst.chief told him so in the first episode this season). With the all the controversy surrounding the Strike Team, IAD's investigation, and now Lem dying, there's no way they can keep going for anything more than one more season with Vic, Shane, and Ronny. Next season should righfully be the last. Posts: 1707 | From: Los Angeles, Ca. | Registered: Jun 2002

Maybe Vic goes somewhere else and starts a new, maybe he becomes Captain of the Barn. Could be believably done, I have faith in the writing team.

Claudette as a the new captain is def. best for the Barn. Plus she deserves it! Can't see them giving Vic the status of Captain; with all the **** that he's been accused of it makes no sense. Vic transferring is a possibility, but again i really think that next season should be the last.
I can't believe we have to wait till Jan. for new episodes!!!! That Sucks BIG TIME!!!!!!!!

Yea, but maybe he pulls something that puts him in the captian chair so to speak. I mean he does get results.
Then it adds a new dynamic of the whole Ronnie running a strike team with Vic overseeing it all from the top.
