And so, my fellow Nightlians, we have reached the end of an era. The end of phenominal television shows. The end of Arrested Development. True, it MAY be picked up again by ABC or Showtime, however, it MAY not.
The final episode (or final four rather) were wonderful. I loved every minute of it; The Cameos, the call backs, the new jokes. But most importantly of all it was love. Arrested Development was a show devoted to its viewers. And for that, we salute you. Thank you for the great run!
On the next Arrested Development...

I agree, they pulled out all the stops on all four episodes, I loved every second of them, though it was sad at the same time. If it was the series finale, then it definently ranks up there with the Six Feet Under series finale (which is my favorite of all-time) and other great finales. Here's hoping that Showtime or ABC make the right move and pick it up.
I have to add, I found the funniest thing to be Franklin's t-shirt in the first episode, "George Bush doesn't care about black puppets", I want that shirt bad, as well as Franklin's middle name being Delano, ****ing great...

I couldn't have asked for more out of these last four episodes. They definitely pulled out all the stops, as you mentioned, iowa. They brought back almost every running joke from the entire run of the series, and it ended up being one giant salute to the people who watched the show religiously (and we even got a shout-out in the narration "devotees will remember..."!). Anyway, I loved it. If this is indeed the end, there couldn't have been a better one.

A phenomenal ending to a brilliant television show. I almost feel like anything they might add would just feel tacked on. Those three seasons are so tightly knit. It feels complete. Best series finale ever. To us religious AD followers, as Darth Whoever mentioned, it was perfect.

Those were a great four episodes and while I loved them, I was also sad because it might be the end of AD. Has anyone heard anything more about another network picking them up? Also, does anyone know when the third season is coming out on DVD?

There are several rumors that ABC and Showtime are interested, Will Arnett was on the Daily Show last week and acted as if this was definently going to happen, didn't really say anything, but he infered in as many words that this was likely. If the DVD comes out the same time as it has the last couple of years it will come out in the fall.

Rumors is that AD will be on Showtime and was picked up for 26 episodes, however, it seems the deal is being held up by show creator Mitchell Hurwitz who is leery about dealing with another network after all the **** he went through with fox, here is the link...

I agree with what others have said about the last few episodes, however some of the stories felt rushed to tie them up (can't expect anything else though).

Awesome, I was getting worried since it has been a couple weeks since the initial rumors appeared about a concrete deal, what a great day...

But I suppose if showtime is really keen, they don't need the creator to do the show. I would think the writers and actors could comfortably fill the void left by Hurwitz.
