I got copies of the entire Narnia series, and my girlfriend told me to read them chronologicaly. I read the Magicians Nephew and I'm about to finish LWW.
Recently, I read lots of people saying it should be read published order. I figured I didn't go too astray from already reading MN. So when I finish LWW, should I go with Horse and His Boy or to Prince Caspian? I really am stuck at which to choose.
Also, how can someone argue what way to read? If you read them in published order, of course you're going to be biased to that way. Same way with chronological. If I'm making any sense.
Can it really be that much of a different experience from reading them one way or the other? Am I going to not like the books one way or the other?

I really don't think it matters because the stories all stand alone. I'm reading them in publishing order, mainly because I wanted to read LWW first, before the movie came out.

I'm sure you'll like them no matter how you read them. Since you already started with Magician's Nephew, you might as well go ahead and read them all chronologically.
The reason I normally advocate reading them in publishing order is because I like to follow the author's progression of ideas and styles. I'm a writer, I'm lame like that.
